Ann’s musical journey was transformed after her first trip to Cuba in 2000\, where she studied piano and Cuban music at the National School for the Arts and developed a deep connection to the country’s culture and rhythms. Since beginning her work as a composer in 2004\, she has created expressive original music rooted in movement and personal storytelling. Her compositions have been featured on Clave Gringa’s acclaimed albums “Para Cuba con Amor” and “Joy\,” both nominated for Best Northwest Jazz Recording.
