Led by Venezuelan-born guitarist Rafael Cárdenas, the ensemble features Taiwanese pianist and organist Josh Chang, whose expressive style draws from more than a decade of performance across the Pacific Northwest, and veteran drummer Jeb Mack, whose versatile, tasteful approach anchors the group’s rich rhythmic foundation. Blending jazz standards, Brazilian bossa nova, and Latin jazz, The Rafael Cárdenas Trio creates an intimate, groove-driven sound shaped by lyrical improvisation and dynamic interplay.
