In partnership with the Seattle Jazz Fellowship, live music weaves through clinking glasses, shared bites, and unhurried conversations, every 1st and 3rd Sunday for Jazz Brunch.

This week’s featured ensemble is Milo Petersen and The Jazz Disciples. Seattle-based guitarist, drummer, composer, and educator Milo Petersen has been a vital part of the Pacific Northwest jazz community since the late 1970s. A versatile multi-instrumentalist, Petersen has studied with jazz masters including Herb Ellis, Tal Farlow, and has performed with renowned artists such as Ernestine Anderson, Elvin Jones, and Nancy King. His career has included four years in New York City, Broadway productions including Ain’t Misbehavin’ and Smokey Joe’s Cafe, performances with The Coasters, The Drifters, and The 5th Dimension, and recordings with Elvin Jones. A dedicated educator as well as performer, Petersen has taught at Western Washington University, Olympic Community College, Cornish College of the Arts, and Seattle Central College, and continues to teach privately in Seattle.

Jazz Brunch at Salt Harvest blends sustainably sourced ingredients and hearth inspired cooking with the rhythms of live local jazz, creating a celebration of Pacific Northwest flavors meant to be savored.
